Flipping corned beef! The last week!
This has been without doubt, the most fulfilling experience of my life to date: To think back on the things I have achieved as both an individual and as part of a fantastic team gives me a great sense of pride. Every single day of this experience has tested me on so many levels, both physically and emotionally and I really am a stronger person for it now (if not a lot skinnier).
This last week has been so so crucial to the Sharks in the competition sense. Having lost Matt and Dan and Adam to permanent steals we needed Geri to choose Sharks so that we could draw level going into the final leg of the competition.
It's fantastic to have Geri on Shark island because her new energy and charisma brings everybody out of their shells. It's just so important now that we as a team pull out all the stops for our final new arrival. Ultimately he chooses who wins this competition.
Today was a really emotional day because we all received letters from home. It was a fantastic surprise that, even though it brought tears, it brought such an amazing sense of drive and motivation to push for the final stretch of the competition, especially with the thought that we could take some money home with us too.
Maz got a letter from her ex/real boyfriend which has a shock to say the least. It took both myself and Maz by surprise and if I'm honest, really tainted a big part of my experience. I just feel terrible that Joe feels the way he does about Maz and all the time me and Maz have been carrying on as a 'thing'. I just dont want Joe to hate me. I never knew he felt that way about Maz, and I honestly don't think Maz knew either. If either of us would have known how Joe felt, I would never have let things happen, and nor would Maz. I hope Joe understands I didn't know that was how he felt, and I also hope he would believe me when I say I would never have persued Maz if I'd known, not just because Maz wouldn't be interested, but because I never ever want to get in the way of anything as special as what he and Maz have, and hopefully can still have. Anyway, it's the last week, I'm going sunbathing!
