It's been a tough year for our Chatsworth residents: we've seen them survive benefit fraud, brothels, stints in jail, stings-gone-wrong, fake suicides, cold turkey, lesbian romps, lingerie parties, abandonment and a family torn apart and put back together again. What else could possibly happen?

Patrick has lost his grip on his marriage and family - still haunted by dreams of his kidnapper, he resolves to banish his demons in order to take back control.

A man on a mission, he tracks down the woman responsible for what he has become - Maureen. Consequently, the Maguires will never, ever be the same again.

Frank becomes a self-styled martyr, but to his horror he discovers his child benefit has stopped. And so he sets out on a rampage of justice in an attempt to get it back.

Meanwhile, Maxine still harbours secret feelings for an oblivious Carl. When he embarks on a VIP night out, blagging his way into an exclusive club, Maxine comes up with a plan to teach him a lesson.

And with Mandy preparing to move in with Joe, Karen's guilt gets the better of her and she braces herself to tell Mandy her shocking secret.

I have just seen this and i didnt like mandy much but it is soo sad shes gone but they cudda tried the windows or put the car through the door or something at least then it would have been abit more realistic as thats wat a real dad would do esp the mguires please make anufa series as this one was soo amazing

I was absolutely gutted when Mandy died, my sister came into the room just before the last ad break to sit and watch it with me (she's never seen it before) and she ended up crying too because I was crying so much! Cried when I was trying to tell people about it too! I agree with Seana-Marie, I was in buckets of tears when Kelly was reading the story to Katie! I feel sorry for Mickey (well the character), he's going to think it was his fault the house blew up cos he pressed the doorbell! Don't think I've ever cried so much at anything on tv before! well done shameless cast and crew, never disappoint!!!

  12. i love shameless, never missed an episode... this series was much more realistic with hard hitting stories, which is good and it brings your attention to such things, but sometimes you do just want to lose yourself in a programme. i think killing mandi was a good thing, she didnt seem to have much of a purpose, she didnt really do anything !

  25. Woah, so Mandy's gone. I sort of expected it after the penultimate episode, but still ended up crying! I was also in shock when it looked like Mickey was going to go too!! =[ Jamie's singing was incredible and the most heart-wrenching moment was Kelly on the sofa with Katie - nearly in tears thinking about it!! Can't wait for the next series..Best show in telly!!! PARTY!!!!! =D

  27. The last episode was unexpected and emotional but very funny at the same time. It's sad Mandy has gone out off it after all this time but all the other main characters left so obviously someone else had too. Series 7.. Going to be very good and i've already been let into some secrets about it. Its going to be very funny and exciting and apparently some old faces come back with some big twists as usual. Very good C4!! :D

  29. I can't believe Mandy died. I hate Maureen! It was a moving episode though, I cried as soon as the house blew up!! Series 6 is the best by far but I also loved series 5. I absolutely cannot wait till series 7! One more thing... DEBBIE IS AMAZING!!!!

  67. This epsisode was bril. Just love everyone on the show, and though I was sad to see Mandy go, what a send off! I'll miss the actress and hope to see her in loads more! Carl's still the sexiest, but I want to see more with Ian! We haven't had a good go with him in ages; give him a sexy bloke! Can't wait for series seven!

  87. Wow, what can i say, such a brilliant series not a bad episode from series 1 until now. I live in Australia and see shameless via youtube. Apparently you brits love aussie television, personally i think you guys are nuts this easily beats any aussie or yank production. In my opinion this is the greatest series ever, bar none. Very sad about mandy. Keep up the great work channel 4 and hopefully there are many more series to come.

  90. The last episode of series 6 was absolutely amazing. So sad Mandy died. I'm gutted. I feel like I've lost a mate. That was some of the best writing/acting I've seen in ages. Top marks to cast and crew. Nice one!

  95. I got confused with this episode... why when paddy went to maureens house did he not kill her or torture her or what ever? Instead he was just chatting with her and joking with her wasnt he? then he left which resulted in mandy getting killed? can anyone explain why paddy was friendly with maureen? cheers

  111. Dear alI I love Shameless. I haven't missed an episode but am I missing something here? It was spoilt for me because killing Mandy strangled a great plot with Joe and Karen and was, in itself, such a huge twist that I feel it needed more thought. Basically, I think she would have escaped from the house. She could have done so as soon as she sussed Maureen's identity ('You are Maureen aren't you? The one who kidnapped my father'). Or, at the very least, Mandy would have scarpered as soon as she smelt gas. Something like smash a window or open a door! I also found the B+W treatment nauseous apart from Shane and Mickey That aside, the wake was brilliant and I agree Shameless is the best of British TV right now.

  114. I am very happy with the ending to series 6 of Shamless. I think it was brilliant. i cried alot and i laughed alot, its only in Shamless where there is sex, tears, laughter and a bar fight at a wake. Im sad to see Mandy leave but hopefully joe will be gone in series 7. The music choice was perfect Jamie was brilliant at singing and the song by Dropkick Murphys was brilliantly sloted in. Can't wait for it to be back on. Excellant ending, to an excellant series.

  121. I absolutely love Shameless, it is the highlight of my week!! I cried my eyes out at the last episode...it really moved me! That's well and truly taught Paddy a harsh lesson. Will Mimi take him back now?? I will miss Mandy tho as I was hoping that oneday Lip would come back and they'd get back together!
