Swapping the sofa for a Shameless cameo in Episode 13, Eamonn gets up close and personal with none other than Patty Croker. Find out what he thinks about his Chatsworth experience.
How did the filming go?
It must have been the coldest day of the year. I had to wear long johns and had a massive, big, wrap overcoat which is supplied to all the actors to keep the elements out.
The amazing thing is we filmed in the car park of the hospital where my eldest son was born in Wythenshawe, south Manchester. That brought me back 21 years.
What do you make of Patty Croker?
We were obviously meant to be - but maybe in another age!
No seriously, Valerie who plays Patty is from Northern Ireland so we had lots to talk about between takes. She is such an experienced actress and she really put me at ease before our love scenes.
Are you a Shameless fan?
I can genuinely tell you my mother makes a specific point in turning it off in her house if she sees any of her sons watching it. She'll constantly say: "I hope none of you watch that filthy programme!"
But as she won't be reading this, of course I am - as are all my brothers - and it was a great thrill to be asked to be part of it in a small way.
What's your favourite Shameless moment?
Frank as Jesus - it was like looking at an episode of Stars in Their Eyes. Very funny when Frank and the family gathered for the last supper at Christmas.
Which Shameless character would you most like to have a pint with in The Jockey?
Frank and I got on really well.
Pauline McLynn, who I know of old - and who plays Libby - is great craic. We would talk football constantly. She's a big Aston Villa fan and she knows her stuff, and I went to school with their manager, Martin O'Neill.
Who would you most like to get on the This Morning sofa?
Any of the gang would be great to talk to. I'd like to do a one-to-one with Frank but think of the viewing figures if Mimi would come on and give us her take on life.
Do you think Frank and Libby belong together?
It's a match made in... well, somewhere.
