2. I love the character of Maxine,..her and Debbie, combined with the complex relationship with Carl are refreshing and fit well into the evolution of the Shameless tale. She is extremely sexy and energetic,..I am a huge fan of the show and welcome her as a great new addition. I live in Australia and the show is the only compulsury TV in my week,..it forfills all my desires for comedy and drama/reality, in one. I am thrilled to hear of a 7th series and wish I was a part of the show,..its the best thing to come from Britian since 'The Young Ones' and 'Monty Python',..I mean it and would love to meet the actors one day,...cheers and well done for continuing to keep the script evolving and another series coming !!

3. I disagree, I think Maxine's character brings a new wave of refreshing comedy to the show. She's likeable and fun, she's great for Debbie too, I think the two characters bounce off of eachother nicely, so full of mischief!

4. I'm struggling to like Maxine. I find her character unecessary. As much as I love the Gallagher scams and comedy, this newcomer doesn't fit. I know they need new ideas, but she strikes me as a "a slot in" that doesn't do much for me. Her act towards Carl at the nightclub was one of the worst and unecessary scenes I'v seen on the show. Don't glamourise it - will ruin it.

7. Comedy actress, comedy character- I wonder if she will be in any more serious storylines- at the moment it is not easy to take her seriously. I can't really buy the ideal of her and Debbie (in the show, of course) being best friends, though, they seem like the sort of personalities that would clash.

8. I think that Maxine should go right in there with Carl. Its obv she likes him and he likes her. Yes he is really fit, but they look cute together!
