The golden child of the Maguire family proved to be something of a disappointment to his mum and dad when, on release from jail for murder, he appeared to be a fully reformed character.
Jamie is married to Karen - a reformed character herself - and the two work in The Jockey on the Chatsworth Estate.
Jamie's admission of guilt for murder was a ploy to gain early parole to protect his father Patrick from a former cell mate who really didn't like him. At all.
When Jamie finds out Joe Pritchard is beating up his sister Mandy, Jamie gives him a taste of his own medicine.
And although him and his wife Karen split up for some of Series 6, they get it back together in the end.
