Every year over 650,000 children in Britain are dropped off for their first day at school. It's an anxious time for both parent and child, with neither really knowing what lies in store.
Who will they sit next to in class, at lunch or in the playground? Will they find the toilet on their own and how will they cope when they get there?
Channel 4 has been granted unprecedented access into a reception class in Bath, to see for the first time what the first year at primary school is really like, through the eyes of four and five year olds about to find out for themselves. The result is an intimate portrait of a secret world and one of the most important stages of a child's life.
