Gordon Ramsay travels to Oakhurst, New Jersey, to help Mike Farber, the overwhelmed owner of Mike and Nellie's restaurant, who lost his way when Nellie, his father and business partner, died three years ago.
Opened in 1996, the restaurant was a lifelong dream for the father and son. But, left alone at the helm, and still mourning the loss of his father, Mike has taken his eye off the ball and literally let the restaurant fall apart.
The rotting decor and rotten food, as well as their father's emotional state, motivated Mike's two daughters, Samantha and Lexi, to call Gordon for help.
Often inflexible in his outlook, Mike cannot see how bad things have become, so Gordon has to find a way to break through to him before he has any chance of getting the restaurant back on track.
