Ramsay's Hotel Hell
About the Show
Gordon Ramsay travels across the USA visiting struggling hotels, motels and bed & breakfasts, attempting to fix their problems and turn the troubled establishments around
Series 2 Summary
Gordon Ramsay returns to the USA for a second series in which he attempts to improve the fortunes of struggling hotels, motels and bed & breakfasts.
Episode 1 - Meson de Mesilla
Gordon visits Meson de Mesilla, a Tuscan-style hotel in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Owner and former child-star Cali Szczawinski purchased the hotel so that she could perform Cher songs every night to a captive audience.
Gordon investigates whether Cali may be falling flat when it comes to the needs of her guests because she is too busy trying to hit the high notes on stage (the hotel has three of them).
The bedrooms are often empty, the hotel's restaurant is struggling, and Gordon witnesses a shocking exit that no one saw coming. Can Gordon 'turn back time', or is this boutique hotel, and its singing owner, beyond his help?
Episode 2 - The Monticello Hotel
Gordon checks in to the Monticello Hotel in Longview, Washington, which is owned by Phillip Lovingfoss, a wealthy individual with a fleet of classic cars, an array of diamond rings and an apparent drinking problem that some of his staff fear is threatening to destroy his hotel.
The challenge that Gordon faces to turn the hotel around increases when he sees shocking allegations about the owner splashed all over the front page of the newspaper.
Can Gordon keep the doors to this 90-year-old hotel - a place once described as 'the Jewel of Longview' - open and save 50 staff jobs or is he too late?
Episode 3 - Applegate River Lodge
Gordon heads to Applegate, Oregon, to try to rescue the Applegate River Lodge, which is around a million dollars in debt.
Gordon questions whether Applegate owner Richard Davis's interest in smoking cannabis in his 'Butt Hut' is distracting him from the problems at this family-built inn.
He also encounters Richard's sons Duke and Dusty, whose fiery relationship seems to prevent them from working together to reduce the ever-increasing debt, leaving their mother Joanna feeling isolated by the burden of the inn's finances.
Can Gordon turn this family around before the hotel and their legacy are destroyed? And how will he react to a scene of dancing mushrooms and a dog that swims through the air?
