Purple-loving Pauline Ridley has been struggling to sell her three-bed terrace for six months in Waterlooville, near Portsmouth. As Phil soon discovers, this failure to launch isn't just about Pauline's penchant for deep purples and pinks - there's an asbestos scare in the mix too.

Martin and Yvonne Davies' family home hasn't found a buyer in 18 months. Phil steps in to help and promises with a week's hard graft he can shift it. Nobody will be working harder than daughter Emily, who has managed to monopolise four bedrooms.

  • Episode 8 - York

It's not often you find a house with carp in the garden and carpet on the walls - but this is what Phil finds in York. Steve and Jacqui Shipley's bungalow's been on sale for almost a year, but he's determined to help sell it in just one week - and though there are decorative faux pas in this property, it's the fish that really make this mission impossible.

  • Episode 9 - Mid-Calder

Phil heads to Mid-Calder. Donald Ferguson is selling up so he and girlfriend Marie can move into a place they both own, but his semi hasn't shifted in two long years. Phil's determined to help, but when Donny realises his Secret Agent makeover mission means removing masses of his mahogany - he's unconvinced.

  • Episode 10 - Gravesend

In Gravesend, Kent, Karen Spellar has been struggling to find a buyer for her three-bed for almost a year. Phil's determined to help so he's stepping in as her Secret Agent and planning a makeover mission to get the house sold - but first he'll have to deal with some problematic pets and a gothic colour scheme.

  • Episode 11 - St Leonards On Sea

Almost a fifth of Brits want to live near the sea, but it seems nobody wants Ken and Tricia Bolton's house in St Leonards on Sea, despite its incredible views of the Channel. • Episode 12 - Newcastle

There's plenty for Phil to tackle when he tries to sell a house for a family of horse-fans in Newcastle. Graham and Jane Hughes' five-bed is situated in swanky Gosforth - but despite its desirable postcode it's been on the market for more than a year. Perhaps the horse's head in the bedroom is scaring buyers off.

  • Episode 13 - Thame, Oxfordshire

The picturesque market town of Thame in Oxfordshire is a wonderful place to live - but not if your entire family has to commute to Surrey every day.

  • Episode 20 - Penicuik
