First Broadcast: Mon 28 January 2002

On January 30 1972, one of the defining moments in the history of the Troubles was played out on the streets of Northern Ireland as a civil rights march descended into bloodshed.

Thirteen civilians were shot dead and a further 15 wounded by British paratroopers.

Jon Snow hosts an in-depth debate on the legacy of that day.

Studio guests and a specially invited audience of interested parties explore the evidence, tackle the difficult questions and examine Bloody Sunday's legacy.
