'It's so simple, it's stupid', declares the head of MI5 when he recruits lifelong friends Donald and George McDiarmid as Britain's most unlikely spies. Armed with a matchbox full of 34 deadly sulphur guns, Don and George set out on their deadly cold war mission - to find someone to spy on.

Don is in love and George goes green.
The eccentric duo build a business - out of cornflake packets, naturally.
Disaster strikes - well, a brick does, and George starts to act all normal.
It's all over. Don's tenure on friendship is at an end - so George has to pawn him.
