Adam Ingram is played by Gary Lewis.

Gary Lewis was 32 when he fully committed to acting and joined Robert Carlyle’s Raindog Theatre. The Scottish actor, raised in Glasgow, has since become internationally known for such high-profile parts as the troubled father in Billy Elliot, and sidekick to Bill the Butcher in Martin Scorcese’s Gangs of New York.

He has worked closely with regular collaborators Ken Loach, on My Name is Joe and Carla’s Song, and Peter Mullan, on Orphans and a variety of short films

It was with Peter Mullan that Gary appeared in Shallow Grave, an early appearance that paved the way to further success in more than 40 films, for which he has achieved a number of awards and nominations.

Gary is often on television, in flagship shows such as Taggart, Prime Suspect and Silent Witness. He also works frequently on stage and radio.
