  1. This is a superb and unique series which benefits those of us desperate for life models with whom to practise drafting skills enabling growth thru the opportunity of repetition. it also gives us insight from the great and good of the art world. Please do it all again or make it permanently accessible!!!!

  2. I considered Ms Purbeck to be an excellent teacher and her drawings showed strength and passion for the medium of drawing. I am delighted that a program with graphic artists in mind has finally been produced. The art of draftmanship has been sorely neglected. Writers have the opportunity to appear on various types of programs, such as news interviews and quiz programs and as such may publicize their work. This is, as far as I know, not true of painters or sculptors. Please give us more of such programs as this life class for those of us who need support and stimulus and also ideas as to how to market our art work.

  3. This series should be the start of many such. Some of the previous commentators seem to have missed the point. It was not about seeing brilliant products, but about freeing people to draw, whatever their standard or lack of previous experience. Each of the artists gave me something to think about and to try. Each in his/her way tried to convince me that I have as much right to draw in my own way as they do in theirs. The silences gave me time to concentrate. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for them to concentrate as they needed to, while giving a commentary to viewers. Equally, I am sure that I would have found it destroying to have seen sophisticated products at the end of a few minutes, when my own attempts are so faltering. Thank you to all the artists and the models, for five brief programmes which I looked forward to more each day. Don't read the criticisms, just accept the gratitude. Please, Channel 4, don't let this be just a one-off. Let it be a beginning.

  4. Ken was QUALITY. he knew exactly what he was doing, and for once so did the artist. Well done Judy, i really liked your quick turn-around attitude with the poses, you were supremely confident with what you were doing and i liked the final pieces even the one you considered a warm up (which I thought was a lovely concept, if athletes and actors have to warm up, so should the artist). feelings go out to Lauren yesterday for her 1st time long pose. hope you haven't fractured your wrist. xxx

  5. I am a life draw student and I have been doing it for the last 2 years. I think it was a fantastic idea. Nothing pornographic about it as some dirty minds would find. Beautiful art indeed. I would like to ask if it is possible to watch the video of the talk about Nude that happened on Tuesday at Red Lion Square in Holborn. I unfortunatelly missed it and I was wondering if it was recorded and will be shown in this website. Regards, Elaine

  6. Great, keep it up! I am a professional photographer, and welcome the life drawings. I say, the soner people apreciate the body as beautifully intricate as well as interesting, the sooner we mature, and move away from the titillatng stuff pushed upon us on tv, newspapers, which drives us in the wrong direction. Can you believe it, in a so called advanced society where breast feeding in public is frowned upon, but streakers are seen as funny? More please, and less of the other 'sex rubbish'.
