Job: Alvin is a financial trainer and has written a number of books including the award-winning Your Money or Your Life, a practical guide to personal finance. He has hosted several TV shows promoting the 'no pain no gain' approach to clearing debts. He runs seminars about the investment markets for financial companies around the world. His radio programme, Jay-Z: From Brooklyn to the Boardroom, won the Wincott Foundation Press and Broadcasting Award for the best radio programme for 2006. His children's book, Show Me the Money, has been published in 20 foreign languages.
Background, hobbies & interests: Alvin Hall was born into a family of farmers and fishermen in rural Florida. Initially he pursued a literary rather than a financial path with a BA in English and an MA in American Literature.
