James Brown is the hairdresser to the stars. His appointments diary reads like a Who's Who of the planet's most fashionable people. For 20 years his signature brand of sexy and simply-styled hair has been confined to the heads of his best friend Kate Moss, as well as a host of other names including Lily Allen and Sienna Miller.
Now he is planning to bring the James Brown brand to the British high street for the first time. James is opening a salon in London's Wigmore Street that will treat not only A-listers, but also ordinary members of the public to James' unique approach to styling. In this one-off film, James tries to find the ideal space for his latest venture with a view to kitting out the new space out - or at least he will, if he can find somewhere that meets his exacting standards.
James and Kate Moss were childhood best friends. James has contributed to Kate's rise from new face to modern-day style icon and now Kate is backing James in his new business. But will it be ready for curtain up when James is still dashing from appointment to appointment, creating extraordinary looks for his famous clients?
Serving not only as an insight into the hairdressing industry, James Brown's Supermodel Salon is also the story of a very famous set of friends who we'll see up close and personal and, of course, the man who is at the centre of the group - James Brown.
