These personal testimonies are interwoven with digitally remastered footage from Nasa film archives, much of it previously unseen and all of it hauntingly evocative of a bygone era. The result is an intimate and epic film which vividly communicates the daring and the danger, the pride and the passion, of this band of special young men.

I wasn't around to see the landings, I've watched a lot of coverage of it and this is the best doc I've ever seen on the moon landings. Probably one of the finest docs to grace TV. Tremendous production. Congrats to everyone involved.

A brilliant documentary that makes you feel the wonder of being a kid again. I was almost 5 when I watched the moon landing live on tv and grew up building Airfix models of the Saturn 5 rocket. These are the most personal and human accounts by astronauts I have heard and not a single jot of cynacism or American jingoism.

What an amazing account of what these men went through. I'm only 17, yet no matter what age you are its not hard to appreciate what an incredible thing it is that all these men achieved. I'm overwhelmed just watching it.

An astonishing film that left your jaw hanging at the ground and space footage, and a smile on your face at hearing the all-too-human accounts of many of the Apollo mission astronauts. Mike Collins and Al Bean are amazing characters and the slo-mo lift-off sequences are just unique. Fabulous stuff - please release this one on DVD!

A truly great Film, even if the Nostalgia of my School years during the time has got the better of me. Why hide it at 23:10 on Monday and again at 00:10 (12:10am) Tuesday ? Shouldn't you have shouted it from the hills by using the TRAILER that was no doubt published with the release - also at http://www.intheshadowofthemoon.com?
