  2. In response to the comments about how those appearing on HTLGN can't hate their bodies that much I can assure you that they do. I applied to be on the show and had two (very lovely) producers come to my house to interview me and ask some preliminary questions. They also videoed me in my underwear. This was one of the scariest things I have ever done but I knew that it was my one chance for me to get some help to combat my body issues. Unfortunately I wasn't selected to be on the show as they had another girl with simlar issues and shape etc to me but just applying made me feel better about myself. Since applying I have worked to improve my body image by exercising regularly and it's helping. I still watch the show though and love to see the transformations. And to those who think people should be less concerned about their bodies, yes, in an ideal world we would be. But we don't live in an ideal world. We live in one where people are judged daily on their appearance. It is not shallow or self centred to think about one's appearance and to want to combat issues of low self esteem. For those of us who are badly affected by self-esteem and poor body image it affects your day to day life to the extent that you can't tackle the more pressing issues of the day. Why should anyone have to go through life not feeling good about themselves when shows like this can help instil a feeling of pride in their body?? Keep up the good work Gok!

  3. Well done Sharon, any negative comments about you or the show are not welcome, you have gained confidence in what you wear, and finally proud to show it off. It takes a lot of guts and gentle persuasion to do what you did, sometimes I dont think people appreciate the efforts of everyone concerned, you now have a good aura about you and Iam sure that Goks team aswell as yourself should hold your heads up high. We are all very proud of you, Any negative comments just put down to envy, any celebrity like gok that can turn someones thoughts of negative to positive, is surely a good thing. Excellent show!Excellent episode!!

  4. I have to agree with "A Friend" as I too know Sharon. I would have probably thought the programme was a fix myself had I not known what she went through to go on it. I was proved wrong however when she did it and am quite happy about that. The show has indeed made a huge difference to Sharon's life in the best possible way and the people who claim to know her (I wonder if "Chris" would have the guts to go through what Sharon did?) either don't know her as well as they think, or more likely, are just out to knock both her and the programme.

  6. I love this show very much i think Gok is a lovely person for doing what he does! Can i just say those of you who say oh i dont know how they can say they hate their selves then stand there in their bra and pants it's all a big contradiction blah blah blah IT'S NOT i think because Gok gives them loads of compliments and the right underwear and clothing it gives them oodles more confidence making them do things they wouldn't normally do. If you think it's all a me me me show why watch it in the first place! It does us girls good to see we can look glam if we put the effort in. I also would like to know where the sequin jacket is from please im a larger girl have seen a beauty in wearhouse but not in my size! =( Thank you

  8. hi, having been on How To Look Good Naked, I agree it does seem a contradiction in terms. Hating your body and looks is a nightmare, one I lived for all my life. I lived in a self created bubble, which I needed to get out of, the restrictions I put on my life were rediculous. Desperate times make for desperate measures. My Friend put me forward, I was mortified until I thought about it. I was very fortunate to be on the show, yes it takes guts, but my feelings were real, VERY REAL! I had to do something drastic in order to get a life. This was it. I would not want to go back to how I was for anything. My life is totally changed, for the first time in my life I'm happy with myself, and it's all thanks to Gok and the team. So you make think it's rubbish to say you can't possibly take your clothes off in front of a camera, because if you want to change and get out of your bubble like I did, you can. I did and it's GREAT!!! Thanks Gok and all the Team you were Fab x

  10. Hiya, I was just wondering if you could help me find a dress that was in the background on Tuesdays show with the lovely Sharon, who looked amazing by the way! It was a pink strapless dress with a teared skirt and it was hanging up in the background on a couple of shots, if you could help me that would be great! Thank you. Rachel. x

  11. Love the show, but how about styling a size 20 woman with a few medical problems and one that seriously needs some fashion advice ie ME I do not want to appear on naked as that would frighten away the viewers. let me know please. Helen

  12. I love this show, Gok is awesome. He's someone who sees the positive in everyone and being around him makes people more confident. I disagree with a lot of the comments being left, of course there is more to life then worrying about the way you look but the person who said that is clearly more confident then other people are. Everyone has insecurities about all sorts of things and everyone has different ways of dealing with things. You can't just say to someone, stop hating the way you look cause there are better things you should be doing. It doesn't work that way, if someone is insecure its down to that person to change how they feel about themselves. No one can do it for them. Gok helps to bring that confidence out but only you can continue to feel that way. In regards to someones comment about standing on TV in your bra and pants meaning you don't feel that insecure. Thats rubbish, sometimes people get nominated to be on the show by family and friends. Also, maybe they are so desperate for a change and being insecure stops them from living a normal life that they have decided to finally do something about it.

  13. Absolutely love Gok and the show! It makes people like me realise that it is ok not to have the perfect figure, but how to dress to suit! Would like a show for big boobs, small waist and a big bum though!!!!!!!! Love the clothes he chooses, but it would be nice if they were more reasonably priced...................seen some lovely things, but out of my price range! Think every woman should have a Gok!!!!! Love him x x x x

  15. I totally agree with Melanie. The only people I know who talk about going on this program are the people who always talk about their weight and how they look. It's all about vanity. There is far more to life than worrying about how you look. I think these people should look at doing something more constructive with their lives than worrying about how they look...

  16. I agree with you Melanie, this programme makes me cry most weeks. I seriously need a Gok, but there is no way I would ever contemplate doing what these women do. I just couldn't do it. I've even managed to avoid holidays for the last 15 years, because it might mean I have to get out of my jeans and baggy jumpers. This is how I live my life and guess this is true for many more. Stripping for a mirror on TV? not possible :(

  17. hi i love Gok and the show. However, if someone is truly lacking in confidence they would not be able to strip down in front of a camera crew etc etc. For instance, I dont even let anyone take my photo. I would rather die than let anyone see me naked, wont even undress in front of a mate or my exes. So I certainly wouldnt want a camera on me, let alone remove any clothes. Its such a contradiction that people stand there saying they hate themselves whilst in their bra and pants! Hmmmmm....maybe they dont dislike themselves too much after all!!
