  2. I have never made any comments on any shows that i have watched but i truly felt i had to on this episode about Claire the air line hostess. I am a member of the British Forces and she truly represented a Forces sweetheart. I thought she was the most loviest, warmest girl ever to be on the show. I just really hope she has gained some confidence because she really deserves it. I even made my boyfriend watch the show ( he secretly loves the show and Gok as much as me!!). I really hope you pass on this message to Claire, We all have bits of our body we are not 100% happy with, but beauty comes from within and that really shone with Claire. Her Hubby to be must be proud as punch of her!!

  6. I'm a redhead too, the tips were great - am going to wear red this week! Cheers Gok PS. Totally agree with the other posts that she should've kept her red hair though! How much hardship we go through being redheaded, bout time we appreciate it - it's sexy!

  8. I Sufferd very badly as a teenager. I had pannic attacks, anorexia, bulimia. All because i hated and still hate my body. I'm really trying to change the way i think about myself as i have 3 children. I would hate to see them grow up and feel that way about them selfs. Watching the Gok Wan tv shows is such a big help. Totally and completely love what you do.

  9. I agree with PUTERI MELAYU. I'm a size 8, and I'm a bit disconcerted to hear that I'm not a 'real woman'. I'm not some kind of anorexic freak. I eat well, exericse regularly and have a very normal BMI. Why am I not a real woman?

  13. I cannot believe this girl could not see how gorgeous she is. I have only seen 5 mins of the show and I couldn't believe how pretty she is. She has stunning hair colour, perfectly proportioned boobs and a tiny waist. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the show and hopefully her wedding dress!!! She'll be stunning!!

  14. I do love the show but I hated what you did to this girl's lovely auburn hair. What happened to embracing natural beauty? She looked like a tarty barmaid with all that fake almost blonde hair at the end. She looked sooo much nicer in the GI Jane pics.

  15. Oh my gosh, this episode had me crying almost from the start. How sad it is that she disliked herself so much when she was clearly a naturally beautiful young lady. Everything in proportion, beautiful skin & hair and what a smile too! She looked gorgeous in the wedding dress - it made me cry again! Go forward with your head held high girl, you're a stunner. I was so pleased too to hear about the petition - I have signed & will spread the word. 20,000 signatures will be hit for sure I am certain of it. And rightly so. Well done Gok - cracking episode.

  16. Dear Gok, First of all I would really like to say that I absolutely loves your show and I think it is totally fabulous that you help to make women feel better. However, I feel that sometimes I feel that there is a discrimination againts small women who are below size 8. In your show it seems to appear that you refer 'real women' as people who are curvacious and above a size 12. It appears to me that the show dont feel that slender thin women should be classified as 'real women'. Im myself is a petite size 6 with small boobs (which Im not very fond off but learn to love) and feel rather disheartened that my shape and size is not considered as womanly. I absolutely support your petition to introduce body issues into school curriculum and I have sign up for the petition. Though I think that eventhough it is important to love your body they way they are it is also important to combat obesity amongst young people to ensure that they keep a healthy lifestyle. I think it would be wrong to support a 12 year old who is a size 18 and think it is alright for her to maintain that weight all her life. I think if the campaign is to go ahead you should collaborate with health organisation that will encourage young people to exercise and eat the right food. Its true that you should not be obsesively body concious at such a young age but I think it is important to recognising that it is alos not acceptable to be overweight at such a young age as it will affect you for longer and for the body issues to continue. From my own experience I know how much I dreader going to PE classes so perhaps there should be something for girls especially at school to ensure that they stay healthy. It should be voiced that it is not wrong to want to stay healthy and fit from a young age but it is important for young people to understand the difference between anorexia and staying fit. We all do come in all shapes and sizes and I do wish that I was slightly more curvier and look more womenly but I am proud of the fact that I work hard for my body and feel that it is not ok to feel bad about being thin because then I am considered as fake as I am the same size as those that appears on TV and magazines. No one is perfect and even models have bodily hang ups but research have shown that through exercise and eating healthy food it does boost your endorphines and therefore makes you happier. Please encourage these young people to love themselves as they are as I have had experiences with people who had problems with anorexia and bulimia and I do not condoned anyone who thinks it is ok to be a size 4 when you are above 5 foot 2 inches and not 10. Thank you for reviewing my comment I hope that the show will soon say it is ok to be a size six and be proud of it. And please encourage healthy living to the young people. Sincerely, Puteri Melayu

  19. Oooo I love this programme and I love Gok! He does such a fantastic job, we need more people like him around. I thought Claire looked absolutely lovely even before Gok waved his magic wand, lovely figure, pretty face, gorgeous colour hair. But she looked fantastic by the time he'd finished with her - really stunning. And what a great photo shoot, absolutely beautiful. Well done Claire! It was very emotional watching your journey xx

  24. You know what? HTLGN always makes me cry - just to see how happy those beautiful women are by the end, and how gobsmacked their friends and family are when they do their final catwalk (and they thought they were gorgeous right from the beginning!). I'd love to go on the show myself, but my looks are my fault, I'm fat because I overeat and don't exercise, if I sorted that out I'd be happier with myself, but these girls just think they're fat and ugly and really they are so naturally beautiful!

  29. I'm really excited about this episode! I'm not an air hostess, but I am getting married next August and I am a natural redhead! I also have serious body confidence issues and Gok always leaves me feeling empowered, exhilarated and better about myself.
