  1. I can honestly say that this episode is the best i have seen! The way mum had been brought up being taught not to touch her own body and always be covered up to the end result it was amazing to watch an i can honestly say that the transformation was spectacular well done Gok

  9. I too feel that I had a negative mirror when I grew up but never really thought of it as being that way until I watched the first episode of the new series last night. Thank you Aunty Gok for making me realise this. It is quite logical, once it's pointed out to you. Not quite sure how I take my self-hatred to the next step though - clothes confident I am not either let alone body confident. I shall keep watching xxxx

  12. Hi Gok, I watched the show tonight and loved you and Shona having the discussion on teenage weight crazes. I personally don't have many complaints about the way I look but nearly all of the girls in my school are stick insects so it's hard not to have down days. But for the first time in absolute AGES I walked past a mirror and ADMIRED myself! Once again you've worked your magic. God Bless you, and thanks so much! Looking forward to next Tuesday ;)

  14. Dear Gok I have just watched your'e mother and daughter show it was amazing Margaret could have been me, i'm going out tomorrow to get new underwear i would NEVER let you look in my drawer, i do wish i had the nerve to try out for your show but would never be able to stand in front of anyone in my bra and pants, i'm 60 and yes wore all the fashions first time round but now am a bit stuck as i don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb,my shape is almost a square pear, if you do read this can you give me any suggastions. Thanks Betty x x i love the show and what you are doing about the young girls is great and if you can get magazines to use real girls as models that will be a big step in the right direction.

  16. What a show! Thank you Gok....it was SO SAD to see how those ladies felt in the beginning- I personally have never felt so inferior, though I am far from perfect- but if someone said things to me like they had been telling themselves- I would tell them "I can always go to the gym or lose a bit of weight, whereas you will always be stupid and ignorant"!! The catwalk had tears streaming dowm my face- you Ladies looked FABULOUS. Don't ever lose that feeling. You go Girls, You go Gok- you Rock!!! And the Rescue team on the mountain- Woo-hoooo!!! Check it out UK!

  17. Congratulations guys, the show was jus AMAZING! I'm brazilian, but I'm living in London now, and I tottaly agree with everything that the " Miss Nacked" said. And I can tell you, that is like that in Brazil as well, and a show like that can help a lot our children, I'm 21 years old, ans sometimes I don't feel confortable, usually, when I'm wirking, I'm a fashion design, so is quite dificult to be selfconfidence in a job like that, but do you know what? I can! and I reeeeeeealy want know, WHERE i COULD BUY MARIA'S FAAAAAABOULOUS LAST LANGERIE, at the runaway, i just NEED them! LoL is it, congratulations, and keep going! This show, is a GREAT thing for everyone who is NOT an anorexic top model!

  20. My mother is similarly disgusted with her own body and that lack of confidence has passed to me. The programme was great. First time I've ever watched it and I feel better about myself already. Gokilicious Girls! They looked amazing.

  21. Hi Gok, As a health professional I am really happy to see the work you are doing with the image of women and teenage girls. It makes me angry to see magazines endorse sterotypical 'size 0 culture'. Frankly I am very worried that so many teenagers are not happy or confident with their body image - these teen magazines should be boycotted by the public and further research done to prove the damaging image they are causing to our teenages. Celeb's like Jordan, Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole are irresponsable and do not help teenagers with image issues, e.g. Jordan and her public obsession with her weight, not the best role models and very vain. Keep up the good work Gok, but more work needs to be done!

  23. Unlike the case of Margaret and Maria, I have found Derby people to have a very healthy attitude to nudity. I am an ordinary looking bloke who works as a life model for various classes in Derby. In one current group, there are 3 ladies who happily study and draw me, but with their teenage offspring also in the class. Two are with their sons, the third with her daughter. I find this a very refreshing example, but have yet to see a father in a similar situation. Good on you, mums!
