  3. Hi Gok, watching you programme on over 60s just got me thinking about my mom. She's now 71 and firmly stuck in "granny" clothes and yes she has the white big knickers you referred to. My daughter is planning on getting married next year and Im worried that mom will look old fashioned as she insists on covering up her fab legs. She has blonde highlights put in her dark brown hair which I feel ages her even more and never changes the style of her hair - in fact she did have it changed once when she was on holiday but soon reverted back to the usual old fashioned style. She's stuck in black trousers with jumpers or long blouses, rarely wears dresses or skirts unless she's going out and they are extremely long and cover those fab legs. I know she doesnt like the way I dress - i love showing of my boobs as Im proud to have them - and mom thinks at 47 I should cover up. I would love to get her flashing a bit more flesh and also see her in a fantastic outfit for my daughter's wedding. I would love any help you can give especially as now my father is losing his eyesight I would love for him to see his wife of almost 50 years looking absolutely stunning before his sight fades completely. Yours hoping Helen Jones

  4. Hi Gok like thousands of women i watch your fabulous show, sharing the tears and laughter of your ladies on the show. Unfortuantly May 2009 i was diagnosed with breast cancer, ive had chemotherapy and just undergone a mastectomy 4 weeks ago.my body has changed now but im coming to terms with how i look. I had the excellent news im clear of cancer my fab surgeons and team have done an excellent job and im well on the way to a recovery from my surgery. my question to you Gok is could you help us women who are undergoing treatment or on the other side of treatment, help us regain our confidence in dressing, ive had to go out with no hair no eye brows no eye lashes, im lucky i found the confidence in me even though it was really hard at times. Gok do another show for us women who have suffered from this horrid illness and are either going through it or on the other side of it.. it might help retailers to have ranges of front opening dresses and clothing and nightwear, including scarfs and head wear for after treatment and surgery and well fittting none wired bras maybe a bit more femine and sexy post op bras as at moment you are lucky if can get a sports bra that fits as we are in these bras for a long time it would be lovely if i could get post surgery matching underwear., ive had so many problems getting things to wear, i know if any one can help us you can Gok ......

  5. Dear Gok, I am a 29 year old Canadian woman who first began to watch your show when I lived in London for a year in 2007. When I came home back to Canada and discovered that the show was airing here, I was so excited. Everybody has their insecurities, even the most beautiful people in the world. Your show is breaking down those insecurities and making women be women again. As a woman, there is nothing worse than feeling unfeminine. All of your tips, all of your confidence boosting activities, and all of your lovely comments you have for the women you encounter are truly wonderful. You are making a difference. Every time I watch the show it always leaves me with a bit more confidence in my naked body. I wish you could come to my little town and work your magic in person because there are a lot of lovely women here that could use a little confidence boost! We all know that beauty shines from within but sometimes you need a bit of Gok Wan to bring it out. Keep up the good work and who knows, maybe you will make a trip abroad one day! I am really looking forward to reading your book and finding some tips for me to use! You are my hero Gok!

  6. As one of lifes larger ladies I have found myself inspired by your show. Just hearing about other women who feel the same, and listening to your advise has boosted my confidence and made me look at what I buy. I am fortunate in the bra department because we have in the North East of England a fabulous woman who has shops that fit bra's and being large busted now isn't a problem area. The shop is called Sadie's and after the owner (Sadie the Bra Lady)I highly recommend any woman large or small to visit her shops. Because of your show I now understand my body shape better and what styles to look for. Many thanks and I look forward to your next series. p.s. any advice on how to find a photographer to do a naked photo shoot, would love to have picture done as a present for my husband, who has always told me I'm gorgeous.

  7. Hi Gok, i'm 31 with 3 gorgeous girls. I'm a size 12 just! But my problem is that i'm an apple shape. My boobs are the same size as my stomach and i hate it cos i look in the mirror and everything merges into one lump! I love the fashion that i see but i can't neccessarily wear it cos it will look rediculous on me. Could you help me out with what is best for an apple shaped lady like myself. I hate going out at times cos i look in my wardrobe and see clothes but nothing that i can say i look good in. Therefore i don't go out with my girly friends or my husband. He thinks i'm sexy but what i see is different and i want that confidence i had years ago before i had children. Please help. Love your shows. And looking forward to reading your book. xx

  10. I'm a just over 49 year old over weight woman, 3 grown up sons 25, 23, and 20 and a baby grand-daughter....I've never liked my body, and have never really done much to help myself look good. I never really wanted to. I have big hips, and bum and huge thighs and hate them. My best bit?..... my 'bangers' and waist. Afer watching Gok on tv (both new series and repeats on sky)..I made a decision..... My sons girlfriend,Amy cut /coloured and highlighted my hair, she showed me how to apply makeup and WOW...I look good..... This gave me a bit of confidence and I thought I can do this Now I wear skirts and proper trousers to work, not jeans and tee shirts, i always wear makeup, and try to straighten my hair. The tops I wear enhance the view....so they look at the boobs not the hips! and biggest decision of all I now wear heels instead of trainers. I have never had so many comments on how I look (although my husband still hasn't said it) everyone says how good I look and that boost my confidence. Some don't recognise me! And I've started to attend the Gym, only way is up now! When I'm asked what have you done?...the answer? I've been Amy'd with a little nudge from Gok. I'd like to thank you GOK, you and the ladies on your shows helped me to appreciate what I had rather, than think I'll never look good and I'll be a fat old lady! I love what you do with your ladies and often cry with them as I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and hate what you see. Keep up the brilliant shows! - lynn
