If you're having problems with bullying, the website Bullying UK contains lots of helpful information on all sorts of bullying including dealing with bullies who taunt others by text messages, go to the website or email at anytime to help@bullying.co.uk.

If you’re worried about an eating problem, the first step is to share this with someone. If you’re at school this could be a friend, if you don’t want to tell your family, a teacher you trust, or the school nurse or counsellor. You can also find lots of helpful information on the Beat website which has advice and support for anyone concerned about any eating disorder including anorexia and bulimia nervosa.  If you’re 18 or under, call the Beat Youthline on 0845 634 7650 (Monday - Friday 4.30 - 8.30pm, Saturday 1pm - 4.30pm). The Youthline TEXT service on 07786 20 18 20 will get back to you within 24 hours, longer at weekends. There’s a Youthline email service at fyp@b-eat.co.uk. Parents, teachers or any concerned adults should call the Beat Helpline on 0845 634 1414 (Monday – Friday 10.30am - 8.30pm, Saturday 1 - 4.30pm) or you can check out their website which hosts a separate site for young people. 

If you’re a young person needing to talk to someone ChildLine is free and confidential for anyone up to the age of 18. The free helpline is open 24 hours a day, every day on 0800 11 11.  If you have difficulty in hearing or in using a regular phone try the textphone service on 0800 400 222.   

ChildLine phone lines can be very busy but do keep trying and you will get through.  More information on the website www.childline.org.uk.

The National Centre for Eating Disorders provides private counselling for compulsive dieters and anyone with an eating disorder, including; obesity, anorexia, bulimia and binge eating, call 0845 838 2040 (Monday - Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm) or check out their website.
