The professionals reveal how they styled Margaret and Maria.
HAIR - JAMIE STEVENS
-MARGARET
Colour
I used two colours - natural blonde and highlight bleach - and back-to-back foils to lighten up her dark hair.
Products
A silver shampoo (which removes any yellow from the old grey) with a colour conditioner. Then I used some texture blow-dry lotion, cocktailed with some volume spray to add body, and then finished with a texturising wax to add texture to the hair, then finished off with a hairspray (all colours and products from Matrix).
-MARIA
Colour
Four colours were used to create the look - a high-lift light blonde, a honey blonde, a biscuit blonde and a caramel blonde. I used foils all through the head, leaving out some of her natural hair as well.
Products
A colour shampoo and conditioner were applied, in conjunction with an intense treatment for coloured hair for five minutes to help its smoothness. After this, a smoothing blow-dry lotion was massaged on to wet hair, then blow-dried with a medium ceramic brush. Maria's hair was finished off using a shining serum and a medium-hold hairspray.
