Claire Danes has established herself as one of Hollywood's leading actresses.
Danes first caught critics' and audiences' attention in the acclaimed series My So Called Life, which earned her an Emmy® Award nomination, and a Golden Globe® Award for her leading role as Angela Chase. A successful film career followed including the role of Juliet opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet.
In 2007, Danes made her Broadway debut starring in George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. Her performance as Eliza Doolittle was well reviewed by critics.
Danes is also an accomplished dancer and has received critical acclaim for her performances in Edith and Jenny and Christina Olson: American Model.
In 2010, Danes won an Emmy Award for her role in critically acclaimed biopic, Temple Grandin. She was also awarded a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for the role.
