I didn't initially give it a huge amount of thought, other than thinking it was a great script idea. However, the amount of excitement it has generated has really shocked me [laughs]. The dialogue is so brilliant and it was the best version of Marnie to play - it was a dream. At one point I shouted so loudly, that James Bradshaw (DS Thorpe) must have leapt 10ft in the air!
She wouldn't cope very well at all. The police would probably just tell her to go home and forget it, no matter what she'd done!
She was genuinely aware of the time, but she's like a moth to the flame with Buster. I am loving this new relationship, it's an interesting mix and Marnie's having fun!
She likes the fact that he's really kind to her and clearly adores her. She's not had a lot of kind men in her life, so he's a breath of fresh air. One of my favourite scenes was where Marnie just jumped on Buster! When we filmed it, it was only Nathan's 2nd or 3rd day, but he's such a good sport and I know how frightening it can be starting here.
She thinks she is, but I guess we will have to see…
This is serious fun at the moment, but if we were to look into Myra's crystal ball… I have a feeling it could end quite badly!
