Joy Mammen is a world-renowned vocal coach, singing teacher and former soprano who has performed all over the world in operas and concerts, working alongside stars such as Joan Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti.
Joy has just retired as a singing teacher at London's Royal Academy of Music where she was professor of Vocal Studies. As a vocal coach she teaches a range of singers, from Leslie Garrett to students that perform in top opera companies such as the Royal Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera.
Joy is originally from Melbourne in Australia, where she won the Melba and Elsa Stralia Scholarships to the Melbourne University Conservatorium, after which she won scholarships that brought her to Europe.
