In this new series, Heston Blumenthal attempts to help four of Britain's biggest brands dramatically transform their food production - and maybe improve their profit margins too.
In each episode, Heston uses his maverick culinary genius to tackle the unique dilemmas that the NHS, Cineworld Cinemas, British Airways and the Royal Navy face in their kitchens.
First up is NHS Alder Hey Children's Hospital, where the young patients are sick of the uninspiring food served up on the wards. Heston decides to inject some fun into their food with a 'bet you can't eat this menu', featuring snot shakes and worm pizza. Will a limited budget and sceptical staff put a stop to Heston's silliness?
Next stop is Cineworld, where Heston trades in popcorn for the multisensory experience of food inspired by the movies. But when his pungent fish dish and 'edible sperm shake' prove hard to swallow, it looks like the chef might not get his happy ending.
Sky-high ideas don't always work, even at 37,000ft, as Heston discovers when he tackles one of the world's most challenging cuisines: airline food. Believing that our taste buds change in a plane environment, he creates magical bento boxes and a spin on a traditional British menu for British Airways. All this armed only with a hot oven, a spoon, and an eager cabin crew.
From up in the clouds to down in the deep, Heston's final challenge is to shake up the stodgy menu on a Navy submarine. With sailors lacking in energy and nutrients, Heston cooks up some brain fuel and brings a Michelin-standard storage technique to the ship's kitchen. But will his menu be granted a seat at the Captain's table?
