The second film in the series follows two children, and their families, as they go through therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, the mental health problem with the highest mortality rate. The new form of therapy, led by psychologist Dr Ivan Eisler, aims to help them to get better more quickly, and stay well longer, than in conventional hospitals.
Fifteen-year-old Tron is one of the few boys in the UK to suffer from Anorexia. Traumatised by three bereavements in quick succession, he became convinced he would choke to death if he ate food after 5pm. But his eating "rules" became increasingly complex, until Tron wouldn't eat after breakfast and had to be admitted to hospital. But after leaving hospital, Tron's problems continued and his family looked for an alternative treatment with Dr Eisler's team. Meanwhile, 15-year-old Katie is severely underweight and her family must ensure that she eats 2,000 calories a day in a carefully laid-out plan. But war breaks out as her mum, Lesley, takes control of what Katie eats. When the family discover food that Katie promised she had eaten hidden in the bedroom it looks like the last straw. Is the threat of hospitalisation enough to get Katie eating again?
