The Winning Costume

Jo C
Next
Size: 32A-38G
£22
This is a 'shape enhancing' swimsuit with a padded, underwired bust. The halterneck neckline with gold detail ensures that this swimsuit enhances Jo's curves, drawing the eye to all the right places.

The costumes below didn't win top prize, but they still offer glamorous support.

Iris
M&S
Size: 8-22
£29.50
This bandeau swimsuit has an optional strap for added support, and added stretch for comfort. The plaited strap adds glamour and draws the eye up away from problem hip and tummy areas.

Jo R
Figleaves.com
Size: 34D-40FF
£35
This suit has an added panel to give extra tummy support as well as underwiring and an extra back strap that support the bust. The patterned panel at the front cleverly draws the eye in to create a sleeker figure and the medium-cut legs stop any riding up and keep the bottom covered!

Janet
Sea Spray@House of Fraser
Size: 10-18
£70
This costume has a soft mesh lining to give a smooth bust-line and added support in the tummy area. The smattering of bronze draws the eye upwards and gives this costume a glamorous feel.

Sally Salt
Marisota
Size: 12-32
£37
The swimsuit has a crossover, deep v-neckline which is very flattering for Sally's bust. The black colour is slimming, while the white frill trim adds detail. The built-in skirt is perfect for women who feel conscious of their tummy, bottom area and thighs, disguising lumps and bumps.

Cath
Miracle suit
Size: 12-26
£105
The miracle suit offers all-over support and control, and is made from a fabric called Miratex, which provides triple the power to firm the body.

Helen
Triumph
Size: 36B-46F
£55
The Doreen Swim swimsuit by Triumph, with print detail on the cup, is designed around the non-wired, three-section cup of the Doreen bra to give shape and support. Mesh front lining offers tummy control, and the low-cut leg flatters with full rear cover.

  2. Can't find details of stockists for larger sizes (except the particular garment featured each week). Can you make a header note please if there's more general stuff. Gok, you are just brilliant! I'm always altering, chopping and adding bits because it's so hard to find fun clothes in larger sizes so you're a man after my own heart. Do keep on de-bunking the designer label culture. It's really sad the way teenagers today are brainwashed into buying expensive stuff when there's so much cheapo style around.

  3. Nicole - I've been on the Next website myself and found this whole page of figure enhancing swimware. There's stuff on there to slim and support the bigger figure, but also bikinis etc to enhance the bust of smaller figures! http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/swimwear/11/ I hope this helps!!
