Series Summary
Generation Kill, the critically acclaimed mini-series from HBO Films, chronicles the experiences of Rolling Stone reporter Evan Wright who was embedded with the 1st Recon Marines during the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003.
Based on his award-winning book, Generation Kill is the true story of his time with those soldiers. The series recalls not just the terror and confusion felt during sudden outbreaks of heavy fighting, but also the frustration of conflicting orders and the boredom of waiting for the action.
