Series 1 Summary
After winning a high-profile case, streetwise lawyers and life-long friends Jared Franklin and Peter Bash are recruited to shake things up at a stuffy law firm. Now living large in the buttoned-down world of corporate law, the legal rebels continue to practise their freewheeling courtroom style.
Episode 1 - Pilot
In the first episode, Stanton Infield, a partner at prominent law firm Infield Daniel, asks Peter and Jared to work at the company - with a promise of certain creative liberty.
Episode 2 - She Came Upstairs to Kill Me
Franklin and Bash defend a woman charged with murdering her husband. Sensing that either the judge or the jury has ulterior motives, the guys use unorthodox tactics to get justice for their client.
Episode 3 - Jennifer of Troy
A woman who thinks she was wrongly dismissed from her job at a magazine for being too good looking comes to the firm looking for legal representation.
Episode 4 - Bro-Bono
Bro-Bono: When Peter represents Jared's old enemy in a legal matter, the guys soon begin to see their client in a different light.
Episode 5 - You Can't Take it with You
You Can't Take It with You: A family is torn as one side sues the other over a priceless 1988 baseball. The case even pits Jared against his own father (Beau Bridges).
Episode 6 - Big Fish
Big Fish: When a wealthy businessman (Jason Alexander) expresses an interest in putting Franklin and Bash on a retainer, the guys think they have hit the jackpot.
Episode 7 - Franklin vs. Bash
Peter and Jared represent two pole-dancing teachers who are charged with stealing from clients. But the case soon creates tensions in their friendship.
Episode 8 - The Bangover
Fed up with the Franklin and Bash's courtroom antics, a judge places them under 72-hour house arrest.
Episode 9 - Bachelor Party
Following the events of his bachelor party, Janine's fiancée (James Van Der Beek) finds himself seeking the legal counsel of Peter Bash to get out of a precarious legal situation.
