Week 4 Gadget Test - Face Products

Tim Shaw

Thursday 28 May 2009

As Tim found out in Episode 1 86% of the women in his test thought the face was more important than the body - so Tim goes for the easy win and tests a number of face products starting with the facial toner.

Tim says: 'This was a similar thing to the toning belt - I put it on my face and it passed a current through the skin. It makes the muscles of your face contract and it's supposed to tighten them and make you look younger... The word 'bollocks' springs to mind. It felt so hideous and it made my head sensitive. It was an unnatural process and I felt that my body didn't like it.'

Main Gadget: Tua Viso Hydro-Electric Facial Toner = £175
Tua Viso resembles a telephone and features two electrodes that work neatly and simply with soft, changeable sponges and water from the tap. The device claims to lift, tone, sculpt and reduce wrinkles and prevents sagging by targeting the less-used muscle fibres of the face. Tim used the product for two weeks. After two weeks, though he felt it hadn't changed much, his wife Hayley felt his face looked more toned and younger.

Gadget Review:

Safetox = £180
The natural alternative to botox! The safetox relaxes the facial muscles, thereby altering the muscular balance in favour of the muscles at the rear of the head, which open up the face and lift the skin.

Facial Flex = £45.99
As a daily facial exercise, the device is placed between the corners of the mouth, and then flexed by pressing and releasing for about 2 minutes.

  2. as with the other viewers comment - who conducted the hair replacement surgery. Also, as a technique it seems quite new - do you have any other information on the procedure and the end result?
