Tim says: "This works by resistance training, and it's quite boring to use – but it was probably my favourite of the things I tried. I'd give it 10 out of 10: it's compact, it's silent, it's cheap and it works. One tip though: wear a t-shirt, because if you're a hairy bloke you can get your chest hair caught in the elastic and rip it all out."
