Mr Vijh is one of the country's leading reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons. After a formal training programme in general surgery, he passed the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) examination in 1988.
He also achieved the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of both England and Edinburgh in 1992.
Mr Vijh began his career in plastic surgery with a two-and-a-half-year period of research in wound healing and scarring. Following this, he worked as a plastic surgeon in hospitals throughout London as part of a formal and intensive training programme. He then went on a six-month travelling fellowship and visited some of the most accomplished plastic surgeons around the world to fine-tune his surgical skills. Mr Vijh was appointed as a consultant plastic surgeon in the National Health Service (NHS) in 2002.
Today Mr Vijh is a consultant plastic surgeon in the NHS, covering the Birmingham and West Midlands areas, as well as the county of Herefordshire. In the NHS, he specialises in breast surgery, including reconstructive breast surgery, as well as skin cancer surgery and general plastic surgery.
In the private sector, he serves the communities of London, Oxford, Birmingham and Hereford, offering all forms of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. In addition to his private practice, he is heavily involved in the training of reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons in both London and beyond.
