Exclusive

Carroll Bogart, Human Rights Watch

Friday 01 May 2009

In March 2009 Human Rights Watch screened Endgame at the gala opening of their annual film festival. We spoke to Carroll Bogert - Associate Director of Human Rights Watch  and members of the public about the need for equal human rights and the relevance of this film to continuing struggles in the Middle East and other areas of the world.

The Value of Human Rights
Carroll Bogert, Associate Director of Human Rights Watch considers the news information gap that often fails to expose current injustices and why she's inspired by the Michael Young's of this world to value of each person's life in the ongoing battle against human imperfection.

Idealistically Inspired
After a screening of Endgame at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival, attendees tell us why the pursuit of equal human rights is essential.

  1. What an amazing drama and story of events that have changed Africa and other parts of the world for all time. Hopefully there are others like Michael Young,Thabo Mbeki,Prof Esterhuyse and all the others who are willing and able to put their lives on the line in the tragic impasse between Israel and Gaza, and the West Bank. How wonderful that would be.
