Dispatches followed two families in Leeds as they tried to reduce their weekly shopping bill.
Are supermarkets really cheaper? Take a look at both sets of shopping bills to find out exactly what both sets of families spent.

The Fergusons wanted to keep their finances in check and get their food bill down by a third, from £130 to £95 per week. Dispatches asked the family to live solely on cheap supermarket own label brands for four weeks, while keeping to their usual shopping and meal patterns.
