In a return to Channel 4, Richard Wilson examines the rise and rise of automated services across Britain, with machines now able to do everything from customer service enquiries to supermarket till check-outs and airline check-ins.
As more and more companies and public organisations introduce automated systems to handle their workloads, Richard will be asking whether the consumer is benefiting from automation and what the impact is on jobs and the workplace.
