After she finds an engagement ring and prenuptial agreement in his briefcase, Edie thinks that Karl is going to pop the question.
Gabrielle learns that she is unlikely to conceive again because of complications from her recent miscarriage, so her mother offers to be her and Carlos' surrogate.
Bree's problem with alcohol worsens. She agrees to babysit Lynette's children but falls asleep after drinking - and the children go missing.
