Dutiful husband Tom has remained true to his marriage for longer than any other man on Wisteria Lane. That's some achievement.
He's also the only househusband who, after losing his job as an advertising executive, decides to try his hand at staying at home and managing his manic brood.
But when boredom sets in Tom decides to open a pizzeria, much to wife Lynette's bamboozlement. After a shake up to the marriage by a handsome young pizza chef, the Scavos seem to be back on track until Lynette is diagnosed with cancer.
Lacking in emotional fortitude, sensitive and soppy Tom steps aside and lets the steely Gabrielle support Lynette through the chemotherapy.
In Series 5, Tom's midlife crisis kicks in, complete with the purchase of a Ford Mustang.
