Dangerous Jobs for Girls

Series 1 | Episode 2 | Dangerous Jobs For Girls

Dangerous Jobs for Girls

In the wilds of British Columbia few logging operations continue through the freezing Canadian winter. One camp that keeps running is Cataract Lake. Here the men winter-down in a floating cabin. Accessible only by helicopter or boat, it can be cut off from the outside world for weeks.

No woman has ever worked as a logger in these hills, the only girls on camp are the half-naked pin-ups that adorn their work-shed walls. The three highly competitive women will live with the men on the floating barge. If they can show they have the strength, attentiveness and stamina necessary to be a logger, Mayco will allow them to graduate up the hill to train to work in the most dangerous zone of all; the falling area.

The women have fighting spirit and think there's nothing the so-called fairer sex can't achieve. These women are strangers to failure but they are about to swap the safety of their everyday lives for one of the most male-dominated, and dangerous jobs on the planet; logging in the hills of Canada.
