Crunchtime

Series 1 Episode 1
First Broadcast: Sun 27 March 2011

Every summer, teams of talented young computer games designers across the world converge on the Scottish city of Dundee, which has gained a worldwide reputation for creativity in the games sector, having produced hits such as Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown.

Crunchtime follows the annual competition in which 15 teams - from as far afield as India, China, USA and Sweden - have just 10 weeks to produce a prototype of a game that will be played in public at the Edinburgh Festival.

The winning team is rewarded with a BAFTA and a top industry job.

In this first episode, the international teams are seen getting to grips with life in Dundee. And it begins to dawn on one group just how tough a challenge they've taken on.
