  1. A very interesting mystery which has been poorly let down by producer G.Carey's contempt for the local people.Fair enough some locals might milk the mystery a little but some of the remarks he makes to the people he interviews are rude.It seems that G.Carey would of much rather been doing something else.

  3. Dear Sir, could you please pass my comments to the producer of the film about Tunguska Mr G Carey. I do not participate in forum. Dear Mr G Carey, I enjoyed very much last night's programme about Tunguska on More4, particularly as I was there in 1961 while I was a student in Tomsk and I know some of the characters shown in your film (A.Boyarkina, G. Plechanov, V. Chernikov). It was also very moving to see some people whom I knew from the old documentary which you referred to and the landscape which I went through from Vanavara on foot to the Kulik base at the epicentre. The midges are still there as I experienced counting tree rings being surrounded by clouds of midges. The exciting atmosphere of the alien hypothesis in my travel to Tunguska in 1961 was depicted very well in the film with the presence of cosmonaut G Grechko and son of Florensky. The Moscow expedition with Florensky's father was at the same 1961 in the epicentre. With CIE (Complex Independent Expedition from Tomsk) I also was in the Djugdjur and Patom expeditions in 1962 and 1963 respectively and have some old pictures from all three expeditions. Last year I was in Russia hoping to be in Tomsk for 50s anniversary of CIE and the Annual CIE conference in May but sadly became admitted to hospital near Moscow and did not go to Siberia. Anyway it was very moving to see your film about the Tunguska phenomenon, a mystery that has not been solved yet and may never be solved. Many thanks for an excellent film documentary, it was good of you to give the lift to the reindeers of the family of the descendants of the first witnesses of the phenomenon of 1908. I am glad the family returned to their former pastures. I would be very pleased to hear from you. I live in Wales. Tamara Rogers

  4. Pretty weak programme. Far too long and not well structured. "uncovers the mystery".. no, he doesn't uncover it - He just repeatedly explains the mystery. Edit this down to 45 mins : )
