Following Danny's arrest, Wintersgill holds him in a basement cell and lays out his evidence: Brenda's sighting of Jack going into the Brogans, the discrepancies in his and Mark's alibis and, of course, Danny's motive - wanting to protect Zoë. Danny coolly responds that he saved Jack's life after Wintersgill attacked him so maybe it's Wintersgill who should be the suspect.

Elsewhere, Zoë and Mark aren't coping well with Danny's arrest. Mark has a go at Jezebel, and Zoë seeks refuge on the golf course, where she is discovered by obsessive golfer Tom Tyrell. He advises her to become completely absorbed in the game as means of escaping her problems.
