Character Profiles

Rebecca

Monday 15 December 2008

Daughter of Holly, Rebecca was once thought to be William Walker's child too. Not anymore, though.

It took a while but she was eventually accepted into the warm bosom of the Walker family in Series 1 - something that might not have taken quite as long had she not kissed her half-sister's husband!

In Series 2, however, she found out that another of Holly's  boyfriends was her actual father which threw her world into turmoil, for a couple of episodes that is, until she started getting it on with Justin, who until recently she thought was her half-brother. Blimey.

By Series 5, her marriage to Justin is essentially over and so, it seems, is any chance of a future together (excluding a brief reunion for old times sake). Her perfect career beckons so Rebecca heads off to pursue her dreams, leaving Justin all at sea.

Rebecca is played by Emily VanCamp

With an impressive body of work in film and television, Emily VanCamp is quickly emerging as one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents. Born and raised in Ontario, VanCamp has been performing as a dancer since the young age of three. At the age of 12 she attended the prestigious L'Ecole Superieure de Danse de Quebec, the official training program of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens.

VanCamp will star as the female lead in the upcoming miniseries Ben-Hur. She also stars in new thriller Carriers, opposite Chris Pine, Piper Perabo and Christopher Meloni, and can be seen in the forthcoming independent film Norman, opposite Richard Jenkins and Adam Goldberg.

VanCamp first won over audiences on the WB's critically acclaimed drama Everwood, opposite Treat Williams and Gregory Smith. Her performance garnered her Teen Choice Award nominations for Best TV Actress three years in a row.

Recent film credits include The Ring 2, the Sundance Film Festival hit Lost and Delirious, and Black Irish, with Brendan Gleeson. VanCamp also portrayed young Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the miniseries Jackie O: A Life Story, and was a series regular on the WB series Glory Days.
