Quick-witted and razor-sharp, Kitty is a right-wing media personality who heads back to LA after witnessing the atrocities of 9/11.
Estranged from mother Nora, following her involvement in Justin's decision to join the army, Kitty lands her own TV show back home.
Kitty and Nora are reconciled although her TV show is swiftly axed, but not before she meets the dashing Senator Robert McCallister who she then works for, and later marries.
Spikey and opinionated, Kitty desperately wants to have children. She gets pregnant with Robert's baby but miscarries.
When Robert announces he'd rather not have any more children (he already has two from a previous marriage), Kitty is shocked and things don't look so great for them for a while.
Fear not, however. They come to an understanding and everything looks rosy for them again - for a while, at least...
