  2. This programme has openend my eyes! As stupid as this may sound i had no idea there was surgery available for incontinence in children with spinal bifida like emily. I would really like to know, was emily's surgery for incontinence successful?

  3. Wonderful programme hope there is another series. It would be nice if there was a summary of all the individual children's stories on the website.

  4. A very muddled and confusing site. I have treid many times now to see a particular episode of ' Born to be different' and have just gone round and round not getting on to it. The prompts/instrucitons overlap and if you pause whilst watching something it then restarts at the very beginning- hopeless.

  7. What can I say that doesn't sound cliched or has already been said before? An amazing programme, sensitively bringing insight to the general public about the private world (the Heaven AND the Hell) of family life with disabilities / special needs. What we see here is a drop in the ocean of what all day, every day life is like for these families, but it needs to be highlighted. An excellant programme. Also, I am on a really helpful forum for people who care about autism, it's mostly parents, but some professionals too: www.autism-awareness.org.uk

  8. I just wanted to say what a fantastic show this is everyone of the children and their families could teach us a lot and to be grateful for what we have got. I really felt for Williams parents when his mum fou nd out she has MS they already have such a lot to cope with already and as somebody who has MS it is a very unpredictable disease to live with but they take it all in their stride.Good Luck & Good Health to every one of them.

  12. I don't really know anything about bringing up children with disabilities but I just wanted to say I was so touched by the sweet measured love Williams parents display to their children. I think they are amazing examples of how to bring up children, disabled or not. I really hope things don't get too hard for them with with the MS diagnosis

  13. I've been watching this series pretty much since the beginning and I'm never failed to be touched by the way that all of the families face their struggles with such positivity and love. These are the families that remind you that there is hope and love in the world, even in the times of such bleak economic depression and war. Thank you!

  15. What fantastic children and families - I have seen courage, humility, patience, determination, pride, bravery, self-belief, and incredible selflessness in children, their parents and their siblings also, amongst many other qualities. There is a large proportion of society who are ignorant about disability, I include myself in this category before I watched this series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the programmes and learned much about the challenges that face children and their families and have seen brilliant examples of how people embrace and deal effectively with these challenges, getting on with life whatever is thrown at them. What an example you should be to us all!
