About the Show
Animated US comedy. Burger bar boss Bob Belcher has big ideas about burgers, sauces and sides but not so many about customer service and business management...
Series 2 Summary
The animated US comedy returns for a second season as restaurateur Bob Belcher continues to run his hamburger joint with help from his wife Linda and children Tina, Gene and Louise.
The kids go hunting for treasure in an abandoned sweet factory, but an alarmed Bob and Linda must find them in a hurry because the building is scheduled to be demolished.
A bank robber holds up the bank across the street from Bob's restaurant and, when the robbery inevitably goes awry, Bob finds himself at the centre of a hostage crisis.
The kids are sick of their physical education class and trick their way out of it by taking part in a bogus independent study of synchronized swimming.
Meanwhile, Bob introduces a new soft serve ice-cream machine to the restaurant, but finds that it adds to his workload as well as his profits.
Bob becomes obsessed with an old-school, burger-flipping video game after his business rival Jimmy Pesto gets the highest score and writes an insulting message about him on the leader board.
Food trucks start to steal Bob's customers from right outside his restaurant, so his family persuades him to buy a similar vehicle and compete with them.
However, when the Belchers take their food truck to the 'Lolla-Pa-Foods-a-Festival', mischief-making by the kids causes the food fans and other truck owners to riot.
Linda's sister Gayle visits the Belcher family so that she can join them on a skiing holiday. Before they set off, Bob attends an appointment with his dentist, Dr Yap.
Gayle (guest voice Megan Mullally) is sent to pick him up, but in his heavily medicated state, Bob mistakes her for Linda and kisses her. When Gayle falls for Bob as a result, he is forced to turn to Dr Yap for help.
Bob frets that his customers will stay away when his restaurant receives a terrible review from a malicious critic.
However, his plan to confront the critic at home spirals out of control when other disgruntled restaurant owners turn up to lend their support.
Featuring the guest voices of Kevin Kline and Michael Madsen.
In an attempt to attract the romantic attention of Jimmy Jr, Tina starts hanging around with Tammy, a badly behaved girl at school.
However, her plan backfires when she is put in detention on an evening when Bob and Linda need her to babysit so that they can go out.
Bob is delighted when he is asked to appear in the cookery segment of a local morning news programme.
However, his performance isn't very entertaining and the audience is not enthralled until Gene steals the show by invading the set wearing a sasquatch mask.
