The pivotal moment in Nick Broomfield's 2002 film about the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie Smalls, aka the Notorious B.I.G.) comes in the last reel of the movie.
Having surveyed the evidence, Broomfield realises that the intricate conspiracy theories all point to Death Row Records producer Suge Knight. So, in typical Broomfield style, he decides to confront him.
There are just two problems.
The first is that Knight is in jail. The second is that his associates have seen Broomfield's 'Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam' and aren't about to be shown up as 'bumbling fools'.
Fame, it seems, has its disadvantages for the documentary filmmaker...
