Bear faces the deadly swamps in the Deep South of the US that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and discovers how easy it is to get lost in the maze of rotten vegetation and stinking water.
He gets deep into the murk - home to 1.5 million alligators - and comes face-to-face with an adult 'gator that he kills and eats.
Later he grapples venomous snakes, catches a catfish with his bare hands and shelters from violent storms.
