Band Baaja Baaraat

Rising star Anushka Sharma plays Shruti, a spirited middle-class 20-something who has her life all sorted: she tells her parents she has decided to marry at 25, but before that plans to launch a wedding-planning business, Shaadi Mubarak (Congratulations on your wedding).

Shruti is confident of success, believing neither recession nor inflation can discourage Indians from wanting a big fat wedding.

Before Shruti gets her first contract, a wedding party gate-crasher, the handsome and somewhat aimless Bittoo Sharma (Ranveer Singh - a new recruit to Bollywood's A-list heroes), persuades her that she will need his help. And Shruti and Bittoo do turn out to be terrific at organising weddings, soon becoming Delhi's most-wanted wedding planners.

However, and much against Shruti's number one rule (do not mix business and romance), their partnership falls apart when she realises she has fallen for Bittoo, who is too scared to commit to her...

Maneesh Sharma's directorial debut, Band Baajaa Baaraat (Bands, Horns and Revelry), was one of the hits of 2010. Its simple storyline, lively songs and dance numbers appealed to the masses and made stars of its leading cast.

Also starring Manish Chaudhary and Neeraj Sood.

In Hindi and (a little) Punjabi with English subtitles, and a little English.
