Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett star in Alejandro González Iñárritu's multi-stranded drama as American tourists caught up in an accidental shooting in Morocco.
What happens to them has repercussions for their Mexican nanny looking after their children back home, and the daughter of the Japanese businessman who once owned the rifle that was used in the shooting.
As each plot unfolds, they interlock, revealing as much about the individuals as the systems, politics and hardships they encounter, and leading to a stunning climax.
